When call SVNClientImpl.status with arguments
name value
path "C:/testing/projects/vlad-r-test-proj/src/Aseefdt.java" (id=15501) - Simple changed file
depth     0 == Depth.empty
onServer true
getAll     true
noIgnore true
ignoreExternals false
changelists null
callback .. some callback ..

There nothing found (callback does not called)

But when using same but with
name value
depth     1 == Depth.files

This file correctly founded.

Previous SVNKit versions works fine with depth = enpty (not tested, but nobody asks about problem).

I came here to confirm this bug. SVNDepth.EMPTY worked just fine in previous versions.

This bug was not fixed. It is still present in 1.7.4 official.

Reproducible for me, thanks for reporting. Though native SVN seems to have the same bug.
